On Saturday, Telangana Industries and IT Minister, KT Rama Rao uncovered an app for visitors’ registration for PLASTINDIA 2023 which is an international exhibition, conference, and convention for the plastic industry.

PLASTINDIA 2023 is the 11th edition of the International Plastic Exhibition, conference, and convention and will be held from February 1 to 5, 2023 at the newly renovated Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The exhibition will focus on innovation, sustainability, and growth encouraging modern techniques that will further help in maintaining a cleaner and sustainable environment and help in developing feasible economic growth. Visitors from across the world can register themselves for this event using the app.

The people who were present at the unveiling of the app include the principal secretary of Industries and Commerce, the Government of Telangana, Jayesh Rajan Garu, and Vimlesh Gupta Garu who is the president of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Plastic Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA).

The exhibition will cover 150 acres of space with a total built-up area of 4.2 million sq ft in Pragati Maidan. Mostly, international exhibitors will be present at the event and almost all of the available space has been sold out already to exhibit their technology and products.

In the last three decades, the production and consumption of plastics have multiplied directing the quick Growth of the Indian plastic sector.

Currently, the Indian plastic sector aims to increase exports considerably and make a place among the top manufacturers of plastic. In the year 2020-21, India has exported plastic worth $12.6 billion and anticipates raising that amount to $25 billion by 2025. The plastic industry of Telangana is employing 20 lakh people and has 10,000 units and has significantly contributed to the growth of the sector directly or indirectly. The sector has grown 100 percent since 2014 and has an estimated turnover of Rs 7500 crores.

Telangana government has taken an excellent initiative which includes industry-friendly policies and uninterrupted power has helped in the growth of the sector. Plastics have supported all the government initiatives including Mission Bhagiratha.

Jigish Doshi, President of PlastIndia Foundation said on the occasion that the plastic sector of Telangana has seen tremendous growth and it indicates its immense potential. The foundation is committed to working closely with the state government and the industry to further develop the plastic industry. They are committed to working and developing modern techniques that will help in the sustainable growth of the environment and economy.

The plastic industry has grown so much in the last few years with innovations and environmentally friendly processes that do not affect the environment.

The foundation announced PLASTINDIA 2023 with 10 goals to make a significant impact on the plastic industry.
