22nd Divya Kala Mela Showcases the Talents of Divyangjan

The 22nd Divya Kala Mela, a platform for Divyangjan (persons with disabilities) to showcase their talents and sell their products, was inaugurated by Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar. The 11-day event, held from December 12-22, 2024, at India Gate, New Delhi, features participation from around 100 Divyang entrepreneurs/artisans from 20 states/UTs.

The Divya Kala Mela has been a remarkable initiative, having been organized in 21 cities across India since its inception in 2022. It has empowered Divyang artisans and entrepreneurs by generating sales worth over Rs. 14 crores. The 22nd edition promises to continue this legacy of empowerment.

The Mela features a vibrant marketplace showcasing a diverse range of products handcrafted by Divyang artisans. Visitors can expect to find exquisite handicrafts, handlooms, embroidery works, eco-friendly stationery, home decor, packaged foods, toys, gifts, jewellery, personal accessories, and clutch bags.

Beyond the marketplace, the Divya Kala Mela comes alive with cultural performances by Divyang artists. These captivating performances provide a platform for them to express themselves and share their artistic talents with the world.
