Amit Shah Inaugurates ₹4 Lakh Crore Investment Proposals & Launches Criminal Laws Exhibition in Jaipur

Jaipur investment exhibition 2025 opened with much fanfare as Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated investment proposals worth ₹4 lakh crore and concurrently launched a state-level exhibition themed around India’s new criminal laws.

The exhibition, held at the Jaipur Exhibition & Convention Centre (JECC), underscores the government’s push to combine economic development with legal reforms. Alongside the investment proposals, Shah flagged off new Forensic Science Lab vehicles, scooters and motorcycles for women’s patrol, and announced multiple welfare schemes.

Significance of the Investment Proposals
These proposals flow from commitments made during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024. The ₹4 lakh crore figure represents MOUs and projects that the state aims to ground over coming years. In parallel, development works worth ₹9,300+ crore were inaugurated or had foundations laid during the event.

Criminal Laws Exhibition & Legal Reform Messaging
The exhibition titled Nav Vidhan: Naya Nyay highlights India’s three new criminal statutes: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam , which came into force in July 2024. Through this showcase, the government aims to educate citizens about procedural changes in criminal justice, faster trials, enhanced accountability, forensic tools, and rights protections under the new laws.

Welfare Schemes & Complementary Announcements
In addition to the exhibition and investment launch, multiple public benefit initiatives were rolled out:

  • ₹260 crore transferred directly for student uniform assistance
  • ₹364 crore allocated as milk subsidy to dairy farmers
  • Launch of registration for 150 units free electricity scheme under PM Surya Ghar Yojana
  • Deployment of FSL vehicles and women’s security patrol bikes and scooters

These measures were intended to complement the developmental and legal reform narrative and underline the government’s multidimensional governance approach.

Broader Implications
The convergence of investment drives and criminal justice reform messaging at this event suggests a strategy to portray Rajasthan as a state poised for both economic growth and institutional modernization. The exhibition acts as a touchpoint for public awareness, while the investment proposals signal commitment to large-scale industrial and infrastructure expansion under favorable policy regimes.
