The Formula 1 Exhibition, acclaimed for its immersive displays and archival content, is making its Asia-Pacific debut in Melbourne. It is scheduled to open on 29 November 2025 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Previously staged in major cities like Madrid, Vienna, Toronto, London, Buenos Aires and Amsterdam, the Melbourne edition will become the eighth destination globally to host the exhibition.
The show will honour Australia’s longstanding motorsport legacy, including tributes to past World Champions and notable local drivers such as Jack Brabham, Alan Jones, Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo, and also spotlight current stars like Oscar Piastri.
Visitors can expect a wide range of immersive experiences: interactive installations showcasing technical design in F1, archival materials, and race-cars from different eras. There will also be driving simulators, virtual exhibits, and areas dedicated to historic moments in F1 history.
The journey through the exhibition is planned in thematic rooms: from “Once Upon A Time In Formula 1,” which charts defining moments and memories; to “Design Lab,” focusing on how cars are built; “Drivers and Duels,” exploring iconic rivalries; and “Survival,” spotlighting dramatic and safety moments.
An especially compelling component will be the “Pit Wall,” offering a cinematic and immersive experience, and the celebration of Australian contributions to the sport, with some exhibits being tailored to Australia’s history in motorsport.
This exhibition is positioned as more than just a display of artefacts; it will engage fans via multimedia, storytelling, and interactive spaces. Organisers hope it will attract both hardcore motorsport enthusiasts and casual visitors.
For Exhibition Globe readers—venue owners, exhibition designers, event organisers—this instance exemplifies how sporting culture can be translated into exhibition form: integrating archives, interactive tech, narrative flow, and immersive zones.
