Hong Kong CEC Hosts 786 Events in FY 2024-25, Adds 31 New Exhibition & Conference Titles

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) reported a busy financial year 2024-25 (July 2024 to June 2025), hosting a total of 786 events. These included 120 exhibitions, 90 conferences (both local & international), along with many corporate gatherings, banquets, and entertainment activities.

Among those, 11 exhibitions and 20 conferences were hosted for the first time at the venue — signaling growth in both diversity and scope of event types.

Topics covered in the exhibitions and conferences were wide-ranging: innovation & technology, fintech, sustainability, holiday & travel, art, education, medical science, Web3, and others.

One standout event was Consensus Hong Kong 2025, a Web3/crypto oriented expo, which drew nearly 10,000 in-person attendees from over 100 countries — underscoring HKCEC’s growing international pull.

The venue also reported attendance exceeding 7.8 million visitors across all events during the year, reinforcing its role as a key exhibition & conferencing hub in the region.

The centre’s management has pointed to a deliberate strategy: securing new events while maintaining regular ones, investing in professional operations, and positioning Hong Kong as a “super connector” for global exhibitions.

Upcoming events include educational expos, medical congresses, and large-scale international gatherings, which are expected to further contribute to the HKCEC’s reputation and visibility.

For Exhibition Globe’s audience — venue operators, event planners, and exhibition stakeholders — this report exemplifies how a venue can scale its portfolio, diversify content, and leverage global trends to remain relevant and competitive.
