IMTEX FORMING 2026 in Bengaluru to Showcase Asia’s Largest Metal Forming & Manufacturing Innovations

Bengaluru, January 6, 2026 – The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is set to host IMTEX FORMING 2026, Asia’s largest exhibition dedicated to metal forming and manufacturing technologies, from 21 to 25 January 2026 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The five-day event will feature around 600 exhibitors from 22 countries, showcasing innovations shaping the future of manufacturing.

IMTEX FORMING 2026 will run alongside three concurrent exhibitions:

  • Tooltech, focusing on machine tool accessories, metrology solutions, CAD/CAM tools, tooling systems, and emerging tooling trends.
  • Digital Manufacturing, highlighting real-time solutions in additive manufacturing and Industry 4.0 technologies.
  • Weldexpo, organised with the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW-India), showcasing the latest welding technologies.

The exhibition will also host several knowledge-sharing events. The International Seminar on Forming Technology will explore new processes, equipment, and innovations in metal forming. i2 Academia Square will provide a platform for research institutions to present R&D outcomes, while the Jagruti–IMTMA Youth Programme will engage young professionals in the latest manufacturing advancements.

Spread across four halls and 46,000 square metres, IMTEX FORMING 2026 will attract visitors from diverse sectors, including automotive, aerospace, defence, medical equipment, power, railways, construction, engineering, capital goods, electrical, electronics, and consumer durables.

According to Mohini Kelkar, President of IMTMA, metal forming accounts for nearly 29% of the Indian machine tool market. In FY25, metal forming machine tool consumption reached ₹9,139 crore, with production at ₹2,696 crore and exports growing by 6% year-on-year, led by presses, press brakes, bending machines, and shearing machines.

Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO of IMTMA, highlighted the growing adoption of laser and laser-based applications across industries. Exhibitors at IMTEX FORMING 2026 will display fibre laser machines, precision levellers, pick-and-place units, servo presses, production monitoring systems, welding technologies, and 3D printing solutions, supporting India’s indigenous manufacturing and export growth.

IMTEX FORMING 2026 promises to be a key platform for accelerating digital transformation and productivity-led manufacturing in India’s industrial ecosystem.
