According to Gangjin-gun on the 25th, the sprinkler suddenly activated during the “Employee Empathy Talk Concert with the County Governor” event held at the Baegun-dong Exhibition Hall the day before, and the inside was wet.
There was no fire and the cause was a malfunction caused by the heat wave.
Windows are installed on some of the ceiling of the exhibition hall, and the temperature soared by more than 70 degrees as heat was trapped between the curtains and the windows installed to block the sun, and the sprinkler was found to have been working because it was mistaken for a fire.
Gangjin County has raised the standard temperature for sprinkler operation and is considering measures to block the roof.
