The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, will host the India – AI Impact Summit 2026 on 19–20 February 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Announced by Narendra Modi at the France AI Action Summit, the summit marks the first-ever global AI summit hosted in the Global South. The Hon’ble Prime Minister will inaugurate the event, positioning it as one of the year’s most influential global forums dedicated to inclusive, impactful, and action-oriented artificial intelligence.

Building on momentum from major international AI forums such as the UK AI Safety Summit, AI Seoul Summit, the France AI Action Summit, and the Global AI Summit on Africa, the India – AI Impact Summit 2026 represents a critical inflection point in global AI governance.
The high-level convening aims to strengthen existing multilateral initiatives while advancing new priorities, cooperative frameworks, and measurable deliverables—moving beyond political declarations toward tangible progress in global AI collaboration.
Vision: AI for Humanity, Inclusion, and Sustainable Growth
The Summit envisions a future where AI serves humanity by driving inclusive growth, fostering social development, and promoting people-centric innovation while protecting the planet. A key objective is to amplify the voice of the Global South, ensuring technological opportunities are widely shared rather than concentrated in select regions.
The Three Sutras: People, Planet, Progress
The India – AI Impact Summit 2026 is anchored on three foundational pillars, known as the Three Sutras-a Sanskrit term symbolizing guiding principles that unite wisdom and action:

- Progress – Inclusive economic and technological advancement
These Sutras define how AI can be harnessed through multilateral cooperation for collective global benefit.
The Seven Chakras: Framework for Global AI Collaboration
Expanding upon the Three Sutras, the Summit deliberations will revolve around Seven Chakras, representing key domains of international cooperation:

Pre-Summit Flagship Initiatives
In the lead-up to the main event, MeitY is organizing several high-impact global challenges:
- AI for ALL – Identifying transformative AI solutions across sectors.
- AI by HER – Promoting women-led AI innovations for social impact.
- YUVAi – A Global Youth Challenge (ages 13–21) encouraging AI-driven solutions for social good.
