2023 is going to be a memorable year for the UAE. The UAE is going to host the 28th United Climate Change Conference of Parties (CoP 28) at the newly revealed Expo City Dubai in 2023.
Dubai Expo City is the most appropriate location for CoP 28, as the propaganda of both Expo 2020, Dubai, and CoP 28 is almost the same. The goal is to achieve sustainability and facilitate global cooperation to address global problems.
The UAE is selected to host CoP 28 as it is making steady and continuous progress in the energy transition journey. After Egypt, The UAE is going to be the second Middle East country to host a CoP event, this year.
Dates have not been confirmed yet but estimation is there that the event will take place in November 2023.
According to the estimates, CoP 28 is going to attract 45,000 participants daily which includes government and industry officials.
From September 2022, Expo City Dubai will be opened in phases. It is set as a sustainable and tech-enabled space that will serve as an entertainment and business hub.
