Milan, Italy – January 2026: The 54th edition of MIDO, the world’s largest international eyewear exhibition, is all set to welcome visitors from around the globe from 31 January to 2 February 2026 at Fieramilano Rho. With the event’s exhibitors list now live, MIDO 2026 is generating excitement across the optical and fashion industries, promising innovation, creativity, and a bustling business environment.

MIDO 2026 is preparing for an edition in line with last year’s success, with a forecast of around 1,200 exhibitors representing 50 countries. Among these are both returning industry leaders and 140 new entrants, highlighting the exhibition’s role as a global hub for the latest trends in eyewear.

The show has become a critical platform for manufacturers, designers, and retailers to showcase cutting-edge lenses, frames, and optical technologies, attracting buyers and media from across the world.

This year, Hall 1’s Fashion Square—considered the beating heart of MIDO—will undergo a complete renovation, creating a modern, interactive space that merges fashion with eyewear innovation. Attendees can expect an immersive experience showcasing the latest eyewear designs and trends, making it a must-visit hub for both professionals and enthusiasts.

Hall 4 will feature a special installation dedicated to DaTE (Design and Technology Eyewear Exhibition, Naples, 12-14 September). This showcase underlines MIDO’s focus on the fusion of technology and design, highlighting emerging trends and forward-thinking eyewear solutions.

The DaTE installation provides attendees with unique insights into global design trends and offers a glimpse of what the next generation of eyewear holds.

MIDO 2026 also brings back “The Lens of Time” exhibition in Hall 6, celebrating the evolution of eyewear across decades. From vintage classics to modern innovations, this area provides a rich narrative of how design, culture, and technology shape eyewear today.

The exhibition appeals to designers, historians, and collectors alike, offering inspiration while connecting the past and future of eyewear.

The Design area, located in Halls 2 and 4, continues to grow as a hub of creativity and experimentation. This year, it will welcome new exhibitors and brands moving from the Academy section, further emphasizing MIDO’s commitment to supporting innovative and avant-garde designs.

Visitors can explore experimental eyewear, futuristic concepts, and limited-edition collections that push the boundaries of traditional design, making this area a highlight for trendsetters and industry professionals.
