Great Yorkshire Showground Announces Diverse 2026 Events Calendar

The Great Yorkshire Showground has officially announced its 2026 events calendar, unveiling a dynamic mix of new launches and returning flagship events that further strengthen its reputation as one of northern England’s most versatile event destinations.

Spread across the 250-acre Great Yorkshire Events Centre and the Pavilions of Harrogate, the 2026 programme will host a wide range of events spanning agriculture, culture, motorsport, technology, literature, and community engagement.

New Events Launching in 2026

Among the key new additions is the Yorkshire Farming Conference, scheduled for January 28, 2026. The inaugural conference will bring together over 30 expert speakers and more than 60 farming-related businesses and organisations, focusing on critical challenges and innovations shaping the future of agriculture.

Another notable debut is Pascify Book Con, set to take place on April 11, 2026. The event will celebrate paranormal, science fiction, and fantasy literature, featuring hundreds of authors participating in talks, panel discussions, and live readings.

June will introduce the Northern Country Sports Show on June 6–7, showcasing shooting, hunting, and fishing sports, while Mathewsons Live will arrive in August on August 22–23, combining motorsport displays, rare vehicles, live entertainment, and regional food and drink.

Popular Events Set to Return

Alongside the new launches, several established events will return in 2026. These include Yorkshire Voices Conference 2026: Reset & Rise on February 27, Everything Electric North on May 8–9, and the renowned Great Yorkshire Show, scheduled from July 14–17.

The Yorkshire Voices Conference will once again spotlight contemporary issues affecting women, with a strong speaker lineup including Christine Talbot, Stephanie Hirst, and Christa Ackroyd.

Supporting Farming and the Countryside

Commenting on the 2026 programme, Allister Nixon, Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said the year ahead promises to be both busy and varied, highlighting the Showground’s flexibility and experienced events team in hosting gatherings of all sizes.

He added that profits generated from events at the Showground play a vital role in supporting the Society’s ongoing mission to promote farming, food, and the countryside throughout the year.

A Growing Regional and National Events Hub

The newly announced 2026 calendar underlines the Great Yorkshire Showground’s expanding role as a key regional and national events hub, attracting diverse audiences while continuing to support the agricultural community and wider economy.
