Historic Return to Olympia Sets the Stage for a Landmark 50th Edition
The London Snow Show is celebrating its 50th anniversary by returning to its historic home at Olympia, London, building on the success of its 2025 comeback and unveiling an even more immersive experience for visitors in 2026. As one of the UK’s longest-running consumer exhibitions, the event aims to deepen audience engagement while exploring new opportunities for future growth.
Olympia Reaffirmed as the Natural Home of the London Snow Show
According to owner James Gambrill, bringing the event back to Olympia was about more than convenience—it was about restoring the show’s heritage and identity.
Gambrill emphasized that Olympia has always been closely associated with the London Snow Show, making it the ideal venue for its milestone 50th edition. He also praised the venue team for their enthusiasm and commitment, noting that they were genuinely invested in helping the event succeed.
Unique Venue Atmosphere Enhances the Visitor Experience
Olympia’s location and distinctive architecture continue to play a major role in the event’s appeal. With excellent transport links and its connection to London’s affluent ski community, the venue provides an ideal setting for winter sports enthusiasts.
Gambrill highlighted features such as the venue’s iconic glass roof and dual-level viewing areas, which create a vibrant exhibition atmosphere while offering visitors panoramic views of the bustling show floor.
More Than an Exhibition: A Celebration of Ski and Snowboard Culture
The London Snow Show has evolved into much more than a retail or booking event. It serves as an annual gathering point for skiers and snowboarders, offering opportunities to connect with resorts, brands, industry experts, and fellow enthusiasts before the winter season begins.
By recreating the atmosphere of an Alpine resort in the heart of West London, the event provides visitors with inspiration, entertainment, and valuable travel planning opportunities.
Lessons from 2025 Drive a Bigger and Better 2026 Edition
The successful return to Olympia in 2025 allowed organizers to better understand visitor preferences and refine the event experience.
Feedback revealed that attendees wanted more immersive activities and reasons to spend additional time exploring the exhibition. As a result, the 2026 edition will build on previous successes while introducing a more structured and engaging programme.
Expanded Live Content and More Industry Experts
One of the biggest additions for the anniversary edition is the expansion of its live content programme. The show will feature five live theatres, compared to four in the previous edition, including a brand-new destinations theatre.
Speaker participation is also expected to increase significantly, with more than 120 speakers—including Olympic athletes, ski instructors, tourism professionals, journalists, and industry leaders—scheduled to appear throughout the event.
Fans Help Shape the 50th Anniversary Celebrations
To make the golden anniversary even more meaningful, organizers invited their community to participate directly in planning the celebrations.
By surveying a database of approximately 40,000 visitors, the team gathered feedback on which legendary snow sports personalities and athletes attendees most wanted to see, ensuring the anniversary programme reflects audience interests and expectations.
Snow Sports Legends, Interactive Attractions and Family Entertainment
Among the highlights of the 50th edition will be appearances by renowned snow sports legends and current stars, expected to take part in conversations hosted by Ski Sunday presenter Chemmy Alcott.
Returning favourites such as the fashion show will be joined by interactive attractions including the Alpine Bar, a virtual snowball fight, and Santa’s Grotto. Organizers are also exploring the addition of a cutting-edge ski simulator, offering visitors an immersive indoor skiing experience.
London Snow Show Continues to Evolve for the Future
As it celebrates five decades of history, the London Snow Show is combining nostalgia with innovation to deliver an engaging and memorable experience for visitors of all ages. By embracing audience feedback, expanding its attractions, and returning to its iconic home at Olympia, the event is positioning itself for continued success while honouring its rich legacy in the UK’s winter sports community.
