NürnbergMesse, one of Europe’s leading exhibition organisers, is heading into 2026 with strong momentum after delivering its highest-ever revenue for an odd-numbered events year in 2025. The company reported sales of approximately €350 million, a significant increase from €265.1 million in 2023, despite the traditionally lighter event cycle associated with odd years.
According to Peter Ottmann, CEO of NürnbergMesse Group, international clients accounted for around 50% of total revenue, underscoring the organiser’s growing global reach. Looking ahead, Ottmann said the group expects 2026 to be a record year, with projected sales of about €390 million — the highest in the company’s history.
Despite ongoing global challenges such as geopolitical uncertainty, protectionist trade measures and a sluggish German economy, NürnbergMesse’s 2025 event portfolio delivered robust results. The organiser hosted more than 31,000 exhibitors and welcomed around 1.4 million visitors, representing a 12% increase compared with 2023. The performance reaffirmed the continued importance of physical trade fairs as vital platforms for networking, innovation and business development.
Several specialist segments recorded particularly strong growth. Security-focused events including EnforceTac (security and defence), it-sa (IT security) and Perimeter Protection (building security) emerged as key performers. Other successful shows included KOMMUNALE, serving municipal procurement, and the SPS guest event dedicated to automation technology. Interlift, the international lift industry trade fair, also delivered notable growth after being hosted in Nuremberg for the first time.
International operations further strengthened the group’s performance. NürnbergMesse subsidiaries in Brazil and Greece achieved new revenue highs in 2025, building on strong results from the previous year. Strategic acquisitions supported expansion, with the Greek subsidiary FORUM acquiring logistics trade fair and publishing company O.MIND in September. NürnbergMesse India also entered the publishing sector through the acquisition of WOODNEWS magazine, strengthening its woodworking exhibition portfolio. In China, the group marked its 20th anniversary and announced a joint venture with Hangzhou Fima Expo to launch RACC ASEAN in Thailand in 2026.
NürnbergMesse continues to invest heavily in infrastructure development at its exhibition centre. The company plans to invest €500 million over the next decade to modernise facilities, including the renovation of Hall 11 and the construction of a new entrance structure. Sustainability remains a priority, with a large photovoltaic system nearing completion.
