PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027 Invites Startups to Apply for Rising Stars Innovation Programme

The All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) will select 10 startups for its Rising Stars programme, offering exhibition space, industry mentorship and cash prizes of ₹2 lakh each.

The Rising Stars programme at PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027 has opened applications for startups and emerging innovators developing technologies and solutions for the plastics industry. Organised under the All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA), the initiative aims to connect promising ventures with manufacturers, technology providers, brand owners and potential business partners.

Applications for Rising Stars will close on December 1, 2026, ahead of PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027, scheduled to take place from January 21 to 25, 2027, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027 to Showcase Emerging Innovations

The Rising Stars initiative is designed to give early-stage businesses a platform to demonstrate their innovations and explore commercial opportunities across the plastics value chain. The programme is open to applicants from India and overseas, encouraging participation from startups working on technologies that address industry challenges and emerging market requirements.

AIPMA will select 10 startups to exhibit their solutions at the Innovation Hub during PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027. Selected participants will receive a complimentary exhibition booth, mentorship from industry professionals and opportunities to engage with prospective customers, manufacturers and technology partners.

The programme will also include a live pitching session, through which winning startups will be eligible for a cash prize of ₹2 lakh each. The initiative is intended to help emerging companies gain industry exposure, demonstrate their business potential and develop connections that could support future growth.

Startups Working on AI, Recycling and Sustainable Materials Can Apply

Rising Stars will consider innovations across several technology and business areas relevant to the plastics sector. These include artificial intelligence, automation, advanced materials, sustainable products, recycling technologies and circular economy solutions.

The programme also welcomes innovations focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing energy consumption, strengthening quality control, enhancing traceability and supporting regulatory compliance.

By highlighting these solutions, Rising Stars aims to bring new approaches to the attention of established industry players and encourage collaboration between startups and businesses across the plastics manufacturing ecosystem.

Selection Process and Key Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed against six criteria: innovation, market fit, readiness, impact, team capability and scalability. The evaluation process is designed to identify startups with promising technologies, practical applications and the potential to expand their presence in the market.

Shortlisted applicants will participate in a virtual jury session, where they will have an opportunity to present their innovations and business propositions. The selected startups are expected to be announced by December 20, 2026.

For participating startups, the programme offers a combination of exhibition visibility, expert guidance and access to potential commercial partners. The opportunity to pitch directly to a jury and engage with industry stakeholders may also help ventures assess market demand and identify avenues for collaboration.

PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027 to Bring the Plastics Industry Together

PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027 will take place from January 21 to 25 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The Rising Stars programme will form part of the exhibition, bringing emerging innovators into the same business environment as established manufacturers, technology providers and other plastics industry stakeholders.

Through the initiative, AIPMA aims to support innovation-led entrepreneurship and create opportunities for startups to present technologies addressing manufacturing, sustainability and operational challenges.

With applications closing on December 1, 2026, eligible startups developing solutions for the plastics industry can apply to participate in Rising Stars and seek an opportunity to showcase their innovations at PLASTIVISION INDIA 2027.
