Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is set to host Salt India Expo 2026, a major international B2B exhibition and conference for the salt and marine chemicals industry, from 22 to 24 January 2026 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre (HEC). The three-day event is expected to attract strong domestic and international participation, reinforcing India’s growing role in the global salt economy.
Recognised as one of the most focused platforms for the salt and marine chemicals sector, Salt India Expo 2026 is being organised by Indian Exhibition Services in association with the Indian Trade Fair Academy, and co-organised by CSIR–Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI). The event is supported under the Make in India initiative of the Government of India.
The expo will bring together the entire salt value chain, including salt producers, processors, exporters, machinery manufacturers, plant engineers, technology providers, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, business networking, technology adoption, and international collaborations.
Speaking ahead of the event, Swadesh Kumar, Director, Indian Exhibition Services, said that hosting the expo in Gujarat highlights India’s leadership in the global salt industry. He emphasised that participation from leading domestic and international companies will help accelerate business growth, innovation, and cross-border partnerships.
Salt India Expo 2026 will showcase the latest advancements in salt production and processing technologies, plant engineering solutions, machinery, raw materials, and value-added applications, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, sustainability, and modernisation.
A key highlight of the event will be SMARTECHBIZ 2026 – the International Conference on Salt and Marine Chemicals Technology and Business, along with an International Buyer-Seller Meet aimed at enabling strategic alliances, joint ventures, and export opportunities.
The expo is expected to welcome global experts and buyers from Switzerland, Iran, Spain, Ghana, Cyprus, the USA, and other countries. With dedicated support for international buyers, including complimentary accommodation and exhibition facilities, Salt India Expo 2026 is positioned as a vital platform driving innovation, trade expansion, and long-term growth in the salt and marine chemicals industry.
