The five-day mega event, UP International Trade Show 2024 (UPITS-2024), kicks off today in Greater Noida, where the Uttar Pradesh government will put its policies and achievements in the spotlight to attract both domestic and global investors. The show promises to be a major platform for businesses, with over 2,500 exhibitors and an expected turnout of more than one lakh B2B visitors and over three lakh B2C attendees.
The event, which runs from 25th September 2024, has attracted national exhibitors showcasing a wide range of products and innovations from Uttar Pradesh’s thriving industrial and agricultural sectors. With business meetings, cultural showcases, and product demonstrations, the UP International Trade Show aims to boost exports, attract foreign investments, and create business opportunities for small and medium enterprises.
The trade show was inaugurated by key political and business leaders, highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s emerging role as a global trade hub. The exhibition features sectors such as textiles, handicrafts, electronics, automotive, and agro-based products. It’s an effort to promote local manufacturers and strengthen international trade ties.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state will highlight its 25 sectoral policies, 27 key achievements, and 13 major government schemes aimed at fostering growth across industries. Key sectors such as One District One Product (ODOP), power, and renewable energy are set to receive special attention during the event.
In addition, the show will emphasize agriculture and allied industries, the aviation sector, defense manufacturing, e-commerce, electronics, education, and the entertainment industry. Visitors will also experience a showcase of Uttar Pradesh’s GI-tagged products, with B2C meetings arranged to foster business collaborations.
Several other sectors, including the glass and marble industries, handlooms, textiles, and the health and wellness industry (encompassing AYUSH, pharmaceuticals, naturopathy, yoga, and Unani), will have a strong presence at the event.
A wide range of industries—ranging from highways, industrial parks, horticulture, and food processing, to manufacturing, IT, and the Smart City Mission—will also be represented. Additionally, the state’s leather industry, tourism, hospitality, retail, sports, software technology, and sugarcane development will all feature prominently at the trade show.
The Uttar Pradesh government will also promote 13 key schemes, including the credit guarantee schemes for micro and small enterprises, aimed at informing visitors about the opportunities available in the state.
With a special emphasis on its MSME sector, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a national leader in promoting micro, small, and medium enterprises through its MSME Policy 2022. The UPITS-2024 will provide an excellent platform to spread awareness about these policies and the journey of reforms that have driven the state’s development, offering investors and entrepreneurs a clear roadmap for taking advantage of Uttar Pradesh’s growth story.
