Uttar Pradesh to Host First-Ever Poultry Conclave 2026 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan

Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to host its inaugural Poultry Conclave 2026, a major initiative aimed at strengthening the state’s poultry industry and empowering local farmers. Scheduled for April 15–16 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, the two-day event will bring together key stakeholders from across the poultry value chain.

Organised by Department of Animal Husbandry with Industry Support

The conclave is being organised by the Department of Animal Husbandry Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association under the broader Poultry India initiative. The event aims to create a strong platform for collaboration between policymakers, industry experts, and poultry farmers.

Addressing Demand–Supply Gap in Poultry Production

Uttar Pradesh currently faces a significant gap in poultry production. The state’s daily egg demand ranges between 3.5 to 5.5 crore, while production remains limited to approximately 1.5 to 1.7 crore eggs per day. Additionally, per capita egg consumption stands at around 25 eggs annually, indicating substantial room for growth.

At the national level, India’s animal healthcare market is valued at nearly ₹7,000 crore, with the poultry segment contributing about 33%. This highlights the immense economic potential of the poultry sector and the need for strategic interventions to boost production and efficiency.

Focus on Technology, Innovation, and Investment

The Poultry Conclave 2026 will focus on promoting advanced poultry farming technologies, improving productivity, and encouraging sustainable practices. It will also facilitate knowledge sharing, investment opportunities, and partnerships between industry leaders and government bodies.

Experts believe the event will act as a catalyst for transforming the poultry ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh by supporting innovation, strengthening infrastructure, and enhancing farmer income.

Driving Growth in Uttar Pradesh’s Poultry Sector

With increasing demand for poultry products and rising awareness about protein consumption, the conclave is expected to play a crucial role in bridging existing gaps. By fostering collaboration and introducing modern practices, the initiative aims to build a more efficient, resilient, and sustainable poultry value chain in the state.

The Uttar Pradesh Poultry Conclave 2026 marks a significant step toward unlocking the full potential of the state’s poultry industry while contributing to rural development and economic growth.
