Ludhiana, August 19–20, 2025 – The two-day photo exhibition “One Thousand Words” concluded this Wednesday to widespread acclaim. Organized by the Ludhiana Photojournalist Association, the event featured 42 evocative images by 21 photojournalists from various media houses—each capturing a unique facet of the city’s vibrant urban life. From lively marketplaces and quiet landscapes to expressive portraits and abstract moments, the exhibition offered a compelling visual narrative of Ludhiana.
The closing ceremony was graced by Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, Padma Shri laureate Onkar Singh Pahwa, MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, and a diverse group of community leaders. Jain praised the exhibition’s quality and encouraged organizers to make it an annual event, while Pahwa remarked: “These photographs beautifully capture the essence of Ludhiana, reflecting the talent and dedication of our local photojournalists.” The Photojournalist Association expressed gratitude to all attendees and pledged to continue promoting visual storytelling that celebrates the city’s spirit.
