preparations ahead of Amit Shah’s exhibition visit are intensively underway in Jaipur, with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma leading the final review meetings, coordinating various government departments and ensuring flawless execution of the high-stakes event.
Ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s planned visit to inaugurate the exhibition on new criminal laws in Jaipur, CM Sharma convened a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office to assess preparedness, allocate responsibilities, and push for timely completion of all logistical arrangements.
The exhibition, which marks one year since the implementation of three new criminal statutes (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), will be held at JECC, Sitapura, Jaipur. It is being planned as a six-day public showcase to familiarize citizens, legal professionals, students, and civil society with the reforms.
Alongside the exhibition, Amit Shah is expected to inaugurate or lay the foundation of multiple development projects and welfare schemes during the visit.
In the meeting, the CM instructed all relevant departments—law & order, infrastructure, transport, public relations, event management—to coordinate seamlessly. He emphasized strict timelines, public participation, and media facilitation.
Furthermore, CM Sharma reminded that the visit isn’t just about the exhibition. The agenda also includes:
- A District Collector and SP Conference, where administrative issues, law & order, land management, and development strategies will be discussed.
- Inauguration or groundbreaking of infrastructure and investment proposals tied to the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024.
- Welfare initiatives: direct transfer of funds for student uniforms, milk subsidies, free-electricity scheme registration, women’s safety patrol vehicles, and forensic science lab vehicle deployment.
Security planning is also a major focus. A no-fly zone has been declared over key Jaipur zones including areas around JECC, airport, and major thoroughfares. Over 1,500 police personnel are being mobilized for crowd management, VVIP movement, and traffic control on the route from airport to the exhibition center.
CM Sharma reiterated that success lies in execution. Every department must ensure that venues, seating, parking, lighting, audio-visuals, signage, public amenities, and media infrastructure are ready well before the event.
With less than a day remaining, the pressure is on. The exhibition and project unveilings carry both political and governance weight. A seamless event could convey credibility, clarity, and public outreach — while any logistical or administrative lapse can draw sharp criticism.
