Record international appearance in CPHI and PMEC China 2025

The strong evidence is that China-interacted trade is accelerating, recently CPHI and PMEC was a 2025 version of China, which ran at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on 24–26 June. Organizers Informa Markets reported to record 15,000 foreign visitors for the show-30% year-on-year.

Asia’s largest pharmaceutical event again underlined the rise of China as a global biotech innovation hub and China now supplies one-third of the in-licenses received in Big Pharma, in 2021, above 8% above 8%, oncology, autoimmune and rare disease pipelines.

Western pharma companies are targeting Chinese Biotech for licensing-redresses, therapy and were evidence in Shanghai for an incident, which attracted 109,056 attendees from 147 countries. The number also reflects the increasing border-limit despite the ongoing tariff tension.

China’s Biofarma sector has continued to innovate in pace, taking some investments made by weak funding and valuation in the West.

“We are looking at the increasing number of senior officials of global pharma companies, who participate in CPHI China to individually meet with potential partners,” said Natasha Jenings, head of global development marketing. “China now distributes one-third of in-licenses for Big Pharma and remains the largest single market for API (active drug component) production. So it is now much higher than an important event for the domestic market, it is the largest single hub for international companies, spectrum, trade with China.”

CPHI & PMEC China 2025 showed 14 product zones spread over the full pharma supply chain, with both extended bio -engineering and life science zone drawing strong international engagement. The content program has crossed 90+ conferences and 600 expert speakers, with huge focus on cross-border licensing, regulatory cooperation, A-LED R&D and take transfer strategies.

Construction at this speed, meditation now takes CPHI & PMEC to Shenzhen (September 1-3, 2025), which is held in the center of the Greater Bay Area, one of the country’s ‘five-day visa-free’ areas. The organizers say they expect 10,000 visitors.
