The Saudi Conventions & Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) has announced unprecedented growth in the Kingdom’s business events infrastructure, highlighted by a 32% year-on-year increase in exhibition space across 923 accredited event venues.
According to SCEGA’s November 2025 event infrastructure snapshot, the Kingdom has seen a remarkable 320% rise in total exhibition space since 2018, now reaching 300,520 sqm. This expansion aligns with the national Vision 2030 strategy, which prioritises large-scale investment in business and event facilities.
SCEGA is also preparing to welcome more than 2,000 global event leaders at the International MICE Summit (IMS), scheduled to take place in Riyadh from 26–27 November. Registration is now open at internationalmicesummit.com.
Riyadh, Makkah, and the Eastern Province contributed 75% of the Kingdom’s event capacity, with the largest venues including the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (70,000 sqm), Jeddah Superdome (34,000 sqm), and Dhahran Expo Center (25,600 sqm). Additional provinces are also expanding their infrastructure with new centres such as Madinah’s King Salman International Conference Center, AlUla’s Maraya Hall, Asir’s King Khalid University Conference Center, and Najran’s Prince Mishaal Exhibition Center.
Saudi Arabia will highlight its growing business events capabilities and future opportunities during the second edition of IMS later this month.
His Excellency Fahd Al-Rasheed, IMS host and chairman of SCEGA, said Saudi Arabia is entering “a golden decade of events,” with major milestones ahead including Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
“The International MICE Summit will bring together decision-makers from across Saudi Arabia’s provinces, including newly established destination management organisations, enabling collaboration with global industry leaders and supporting the tourism target of welcoming 150 million visitors by 2030,” Al-Rasheed added.
Saudi Arabia has already surpassed its initial Vision 2030 tourism target of 100 million visitors—achieving it seven years early. In the first half of 2025 alone, the Kingdom recorded 60.9 million domestic and international visitors, with tourism spending reaching $43 billion.
The two-day IMS25 programme will host ministers, private-sector CEOs, and key industry announcements.
Registration for IMS25 is now open at internationalmicesummit.com.
