SEMICON India 2025: Global Collaboration & India’s Semiconductor Ambition

Flagship Event & Record Growth
SEMICON India 2025 wrapped up as one of the largest editions yet in the country’s semiconductor sector, marking significant growth in scale, participation, and global interest.

Government Leadership & Political Backing
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the exhibition, joining other senior government figures, demonstrating strong official commitment to expanding India’s semiconductor manufacturing, innovation, and design capabilities.

Visitor & Booth Metrics
The show featured over 1,275 booths across approximately 25,000 square meters, with 350 exhibitors. Unique visitors numbered over 21,000, with total footfall exceeding 30,000, and participants from close to 48 countries.

Country & State Pavilions
Multiple country pavilions — including Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia — were part of the display. Alongside these, state pavilions from regions like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Assam, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh showcased local ecosystems, manufacturing capabilities, and policy frameworks.

Startup & Innovation Highlight
A dedicated Startup Pavilion (Startup Mitra) spotlighted emerging innovators with work in chip design, industrial & consumer applications, and strategic use cases — showing how India is nurturing early-stage companies in this critical domain.

Technology Demonstrations
Attendees saw live demos of advanced manufacturing tools — for example, plasma and EBR tools, digital twin solutions, clean-room semiconductor chambers, and quantum computing components. These demos offered both showcase and potential investment/inspiration for industry stakeholders.

Networking & Business Outcomes
Exhibitors and visitors reported strong B2B leads, supply-chain connection opportunities, and prospects for investment tied to the emerging semiconductor ecosystem. The event served not just as a showcase but as a networking hub.

Strategic Significance & Looking Ahead
Organisers emphasized that SEMICON India 2025 has set new benchmarks, reinforcing the country’s push toward self-reliance in semiconductors. With the momentum generated, stakeholders are looking forward to SEMICON India 2026 as the next stage in India’s semiconductor vision.
