A major two-day exhibition on skill development is scheduled to take place in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, on October 11 and 12, 2025. Organized by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, the event will bring together government agencies, educational institutions, and industry stakeholders to highlight opportunities for youth.
The exhibition is designed to showcase career-oriented courses, training programs, and employment-linked initiatives, offering a platform for students and job seekers to connect directly with employers and trainers. Various stalls will display information on vocational training, ITI programs, and innovative skill-based modules.
Officials from the Karnataka government have emphasized that the exhibition will bridge the gap between industry requirements and the local talent pool, helping young people in tier-2 and tier-3 cities gain access to career-building opportunities.
Several leading companies are expected to participate, offering internship programs, on-the-spot counseling, and job fair opportunities. Demonstrations of modern machinery and technology used in skill-based industries will also form part of the exhibition.
A key highlight will be sessions focused on entrepreneurship development, encouraging students to explore start-up opportunities supported by government schemes. Experts will provide guidance on how to leverage financial assistance and mentorship programs.
The Kalaburagi exhibition is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including students, teachers, and rural youth, making it one of the largest regional gatherings for skill empowerment.
Workshops and interactive sessions will also shed light on emerging sectors like renewable energy, IT services, healthcare, and manufacturing, ensuring participants are exposed to fast-growing industries.
By blending learning, networking, and career guidance, the exhibition aims to serve as a gateway to future-ready skills for the region’s youth.
