Titled “Cricket’s Greatest Canvas”, the exhibition aims to capture the passion and spirit of cricket through the lens of renowned artist Paresh Maity. Presented by Art be a Part, in collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Gameplan, the exhibition showcases 12 original works inspired by the 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup.

The “Cricket’s Greatest Canvas” exhibition features Maity’s live-action paintings of five pivotal matches from the 2023 ICC Men’s World Cup, where he captured the unfolding drama and passion of the games in real time. The paintings are also personally signed by the winning captains of the games there, elevating their historical significance as cherished memorabilia.

“Cricket is not just a sport; it is a celebration of life and unity. Painting the World Cup was an unforgettable experience, where every brushstroke captured the energy, joy, and emotion of the game. This exhibition is my tribute to the moments that brought people together and to the unyielding spirit of cricket,” Maity said.

The exhibition will begin with an exclusive evening on 15 January, offering art collectors and cricket enthusiasts the unique opportunity to meet the artist himself, as they delve into the stories behind each painting, while also being given the opportunity to acquire these remarkable works. Following this private evening, the exhibition will open to the public from 16 January. The six-week exhibition will be hosted in the opulent surroundings of Taj Dubai, in the hotel’s ground floor pre-function area. It will be open to visitors from 10am to 10pm daily during its run.
