10-11 Carlton House Terrace, the prestigious home of The British Academy for the humanities and social sciences, has officially launched its 2026 open tender for new accredited and recommended meetings and event service suppliers. The venue regularly accommodates conferences, seminars, corporate meetings, product launches, weddings, fashion shows, receptions, and film shoots.
Wide Range of Event Service Categories Open for Applications
The 2026 supplier tender invites applications from professionals across multiple event disciplines. Accredited supplier categories include florists and production companies, which will undergo a two-stage evaluation consisting of a written submission followed by an interview.
Recommended supplier categories include:
- Entertainment
- Photography

- Event planners
- Stylists
- Cake suppliers
- Furniture hire

- Accessibility services, including subtitling, sign language interpretation, translation, crèche facilities, and live audio description

Three-Year Supplier Contracts Available
Successful applicants will be appointed to a supplier list consisting of four to eight companies per category, with each receiving a three-year contract.

- Sustainability
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)
- Marketing capability
- Operational expertise in historic venues
These priorities align closely with the strategic goals of both 10-11 Carlton House Terrace and The British Academy.

Expanded Event Capabilities Since 2023
According to Catherine Owen, Head of Venue Sales & Marketing at 10-11 Carlton House Terrace, the venue has significantly expanded its event capabilities since the previous supplier tender.
The addition of three technologically advanced lower ground floor event spaces now enables enhanced support for hybrid meetings, live-streamed conferences, and virtual events. Owen noted that while technical innovation has evolved, expertise in managing events within a Grade I listed building remains equally important.
She added that the venue is looking for partners who combine operational excellence with strong sustainability practices and inclusive event delivery to maintain the high standards expected by its international clientele.
