CIC 2026 to Bring Global MICE Buyers and Industry Leaders to New Delhi

CIC 2026 to Bring Global MICE Buyers and Industry Leaders to New Delhi

The 15th Conventions India Conclave (CIC) 2026 is set to take place from 19 to 21 August 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, bringing together domestic and international MICE buyers, destinations, convention centres, hotels, event service providers and other key industry stakeholders.

Presented by the India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) and jointly organised by Delhi Tourism and ITPO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, CIC 2026 aims to strengthen India’s position as a leading global destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE).

The three-day convention will focus on business networking, knowledge exchange, destination promotion and buyer-supplier engagement under the theme “Powering the Future of Innovation.”

CIC 2026 to Focus on India’s Growing MICE Potential

CIC 2026 comes at a significant time for India’s business-events industry. The country is witnessing rapid development in convention infrastructure, improved connectivity and increasing international interest in hosting major conferences, exhibitions and corporate events.

Against this backdrop, the Conventions India Conclave 2026 will explore how India can translate its growing infrastructure and capabilities into greater international business opportunities.

The conclave is expected to attract more than 150 domestic and international buyers, creating opportunities for destinations, hotels, convention centres, tourism boards, DMCs, PCOs and event-service providers to connect directly with potential clients.

Three-Day Programme Combines Business, Knowledge and Networking

The 15th Conventions India Conclave 2026 has been structured around three key areas: business, knowledge and networking.

The programme will feature an India MICE Showcase, pre-scheduled B2B meetings, thought-leadership sessions, networking opportunities and direct engagement with domestic and international buyers.

The three-day format is designed to take participants through a complete business journey — from discovering destinations and solutions to discussing industry trends and creating new business relationships.

CIC 2026 Programme Highlights

The opening day on 19 August will begin with registration and networking, followed by the keynote panel discussion on “Powering the Future of Innovation.” The day will also include the inaugural function, a cultural programme and inaugural dinner.

The second day, 20 August, will focus strongly on business engagement. The programme will feature a power breakfast, exhibition opening, pre-fixed B2B appointments, a CEO Meet and industry sessions. Further business meetings will be followed by the Gala Dinner.

On 21 August, participants will continue commercial discussions through reverse-marketing B2B meetings. The conclave will conclude with the valedictory session and trade visitor engagement.

The programme follows a clear progression: discover, discuss, connect and create business.

Hosted Buyer Programme to Drive Business Connections

One of the key features of CIC 2026 is its Hosted Buyer Programme, which is designed to facilitate structured interaction between qualified buyers and Indian MICE suppliers.

Rather than relying solely on informal networking, the programme creates opportunities for scheduled business meetings between buyers and suppliers.

International hosted buyers are expected to receive accommodation, hosted meals, airport transfers and scheduled business meetings. They will also have opportunities to participate in hosted post-tours around Delhi.

For Indian hotels, convention centres, destination management companies, professional conference organisers, tourism boards and event-service providers, the programme offers an opportunity to present their destinations and services directly to potential business partners.

“Powering the Future of Innovation” Defines CIC 2026

The theme of CIC 2026, “Powering the Future of Innovation,” reflects the changing nature of the MICE industry.

Innovation in business events now extends beyond event technology and digital solutions. It increasingly encompasses venue operations, delegate experiences, destination development, sustainability, business networking and the way buyers and suppliers collaborate.

The knowledge sessions at the Conventions India Conclave 2026 will therefore complement its commercial programme by bringing industry leaders and stakeholders together to discuss emerging trends and the future direction of India’s MICE sector.

The conclave aims to create a platform where business discussions and industry insights come together, helping stakeholders understand both current market opportunities and future requirements.

Delhi Strengthens CIC 2026’s MICE Proposition

The choice of New Delhi as the host city adds another important dimension to CIC 2026.

Delhi offers international connectivity, convention infrastructure, hotels, heritage attractions, cultural experiences and a well-established hospitality ecosystem. The city is also home to Bharat Mandapam, one of India’s major venues for large-scale conventions, exhibitions and business events.

For international MICE buyers, however, the proposition extends beyond venue infrastructure. The overall delegate experience — including accessibility, accommodation, hospitality, cultural attractions and post-event experiences — plays an increasingly important role in destination selection.

CIC 2026 provides an opportunity to showcase this broader proposition to international and domestic buyers.

India Looks to Convert MICE Capability Into Business

India’s MICE sector has entered a phase where infrastructure development is increasingly being matched by stronger global visibility.

New convention venues, improved air connectivity, expanding hotel capacity and the growth of professional event services are creating a stronger ecosystem for international business events.

The next challenge is converting this capability into destination preference and, ultimately, confirmed business.

The 15th Conventions India Conclave 2026 seeks to contribute to that process by bringing buyers and suppliers together in one platform and creating opportunities for direct commercial engagement.

With its combination of B2B meetings, hosted buyers, knowledge sessions, networking and destination showcasing, CIC 2026 is positioned as an important meeting point for India’s MICE industry.

As the conclave takes place at Bharat Mandapam from 19–21 August 2026, the focus will be on demonstrating not only what India can host, but also why international organisers and buyers should choose India for their next business event.
