Union Education Minister emphasizes the need for world-class educational institutions

On Saturday, Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted the need to develop world-class educational institutions for preparing students for the 21st century.

In the valedictory session of the 3-day Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam (ABSS) at Varanasi, he said that the country needs to develop futuristic, responsive world-class higher education institutions to prepare students for the 21st century. The officials have to work on ensuring equal access, equitability, affordability, and quality of higher education to the students.

On Saturday, The ABSS ended after 3 days with educational leaders determined to work together to transform India into an equitable and vital knowledge society.

The Minister further added that they must raise a transformative educational system based on Indian values, thoughts, and a sense of service. The Shiksha Samagam educational exhibition is a step toward transforming India into a superpower based on knowledge.

Dharmendra Pradhan said that the National Education Policy 2020 has given the country a path for freeing our education and achieving goals, creating pride in our knowledge, culture, and languages. Multi-modal education, Academic Bank of Credits, Multiple Entry-Exit, and Skill Development are essential parts of NEP 2020 which will prove to be milestones in the path of students first teacher-led learning. New energy and confidence have been awakened after seeing the excitement of all the scholars, policymakers, and educationalists in this 3-day program.

He has faith in the Universities that will play an important role in preparing an entrepreneurial society and producing more job creators. The Universities are the initial ground for the research on the welfare of society and mankind and encouraging the ease of living.

He also said that by providing opportunities for getting an education in regional languages, they will be able to connect to a vast group of education systems and can promote research and innovation.

Uttar Pradesh Governor, Aanandiben Patel also attended the Samagam and said that after independence it is for the first time such a large and intensive session held on the topic of higher education.

She further added that many educational institutions are adopting new and good practices of teaching. Several issues of recruitment, construction, grading, and assessment should be dealt with effectively and students must be provided quality education in their proximity.
