The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has officially opened three major public fairs at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), offering visitors a diverse experience of books, sports, travel, leisure, and international snacks under a single admission ticket. Running from 15 to 21 July, the three events feature more than 770 exhibitors and are expected to attract thousands of local residents and international visitors during Hong Kong’s summer event season.
Hong Kong Book Fair Returns with a Cultural Theme
The 36th Hong Kong Book Fair is being held under the theme “Reading the World: Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys.” This year’s edition celebrates literature, culture, and global perspectives through an extensive program of exhibitions, seminars, and interactive sessions.
Visitors can attend eight themed seminar series covering literature, history, youth reading, international reading, culture, and personal development. The fair also features the World of Art & Culture exhibition titled “World in Words, A Voyage of the Heart,” showcasing more than 200 books and cultural exhibits from different countries. In addition, over 35 seminars and workshops provide opportunities for readers, authors, and cultural enthusiasts to engage in meaningful discussions.
Sports and Leisure Expo Offers Interactive Experiences
Alongside the book fair, the 9th Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo presents a wide range of activities designed for sports enthusiasts, travelers, and families.
The expo features athlete sharing sessions, interactive sports challenges, travel exhibitions, and leisure activities for visitors of all ages. This year’s Travel and Tourism Zone welcomes Türkiye and South Korea as new participants, while Thailand returns with an expanded showcase, highlighting travel experiences and tourism opportunities.
The event aims to encourage healthy lifestyles while promoting sports participation and international travel.
World of Snacks Showcases Global Flavours
The 6th World of Snacks brings together an impressive collection of more than 1,300 snack products from nearly 30 countries and regions.
Visitors can explore six themed zones, including Travel Delight, Chocolate and Sweet Factory, Oldie Snacks, Yummy & Healthy, Party Time, and Snack Bar. The exhibition offers a wide variety of international treats, traditional favorites, healthy snacks, and premium confectionery, making it a popular attraction for food lovers.
One Ticket Gives Access to Three Major Events
HKTDC has combined the three exhibitions to create a comprehensive summer experience for both local residents and tourists. Visitors can enjoy books, cultural programs, sports activities, travel inspiration, and global food experiences with a single admission ticket.
Adult admission is HK$30, while primary school students and children under 1.2 meters can enter for HK$10. Admission is free for children aged three and below and adults aged 65 or above.
