The 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 and the 14th Salon de TIME are set to bring together more than 630 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 1 to 5, 2026. The major international trade events are expected to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as a leading global marketplace for watches, clocks, timepieces and related technologies.
The two events are jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Limited, and the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Limited. Together, they will provide international buyers, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, designers and industry professionals with opportunities to explore new products and establish business connections.
Salon de TIME Expands With More Than 150 Global Brands
A major highlight of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 is the strong participation at Salon de TIME. The premium watch showcase will feature more than 150 international brands, representing its highest participation level since the pandemic.
Organisers have also reported increased participation from Hong Kong-based companies and brands inspired by the Guochao trend. New exhibitors from Norway, Singapore and the United States will further broaden the international profile of the event.
The growth highlights the continuing demand for Hong Kong as a strategic platform for international watch brands looking to reach Asian buyers and expand their global business networks.
New International and Regional Pavilions Strengthen the Fair
The international profile of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 will be further strengthened with the debut of a pavilion from Hengyang, Hunan Province. This marks the first time Hengyang will participate with a dedicated pavilion at the event.
Group pavilions will also represent key watchmaking and trading markets, including France, Switzerland, Guangzhou and Taiwan. The presence of these markets is expected to provide buyers with a wider selection of products and create additional opportunities for cross-border sourcing.
The event’s international participation reflects the importance of Hong Kong’s watch industry within the wider global supply chain.
Microbrands Zone Doubles Participation
The Salon de TIME Microbrands zone has also recorded significant growth for 2026. The dedicated area will showcase 29 microbrands from eight countries and regions.
According to organisers, both the number of participating brands and the number of represented markets have doubled compared with the previous year. The expansion demonstrates growing interest in independent watchmakers and emerging brands offering distinctive designs, craftsmanship and innovative concepts.
The Microbrands zone is expected to be particularly attractive to buyers searching for independent labels and niche products that stand apart from traditional mainstream watch brands.
Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair Offers Diverse Product Categories
The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 will feature seven dedicated product zones designed to help international buyers explore different areas of the watch and clock industry.
Alongside the main fair, Salon de TIME will feature six themed zones: World Brand Piazza, Chic & Trendy, Craft Treasure, Renaissance Moment, Wearable Tech and Microbrands.
These zones will cover established luxury brands, fashion-oriented timepieces, craftsmanship-focused products, heritage-inspired designs, wearable technology and emerging independent brands.
HKTDC Associate Executive Director Smilely Lam described the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME as a major one-stop marketplace for the international watch and clock industry.
Hong Kong Watch Exports Record Strong Growth in 2026
The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 comes at a time when Hong Kong’s watch export sector is showing encouraging growth.
According to HKTDC data, the total value of Hong Kong’s watch exports reached approximately HK$30.5 billion during the first seven months of 2026, representing a 7.8% year-on-year increase.
Several important export markets recorded particularly strong growth. Watch exports to Germany increased by 21%, while exports to Switzerland rose by 25%. The United Arab Emirates recorded an especially significant increase of 91%.
The figures indicate continued international demand for Hong Kong’s watch products and reinforce the importance of the city as a hub for sourcing, distribution and international trade.
Export Confidence Index Shows Positive Sentiment
Industry sentiment has also improved. HKTDC reported that the watch industry’s export confidence index increased from 50.4 to 51.9 in the second quarter of 2026.
The improvement suggests that industry participants are becoming more optimistic about international business conditions and export opportunities.
Against this backdrop, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 is expected to provide an important platform for businesses to identify new markets, strengthen buyer relationships and explore opportunities across the global timepiece industry.
AI-Powered Business Matching Connects Buyers and Exhibitors
Business networking will be a central part of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026. HKTDC is supporting exhibitors and buyers through Click2Match, its AI-powered business matching platform.
The online service opened on August 25 and will remain available until September 12, enabling participants to connect before, during and after the physical exhibitions.
The platform is designed to help buyers discover suitable exhibitors and arrange business meetings. By combining online networking with face-to-face participation, the initiative is expected to make it easier for international buyers to maximise their time at the fairs.
More Than 40 Business and Educational Events
Beyond the exhibition floors, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 and Salon de TIME will feature more than 40 business, educational and networking programmes.
The programme will include industry forums, seminars, networking sessions, watch parades and other activities designed to provide participants with insights into current market trends and developments.
One of the key events will be the Hong Kong International Watch Forum, scheduled for September 1. The forum will bring together representatives of watch industry associations from mainland China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan and Korea.
The international gathering will provide an opportunity for industry leaders to discuss market developments, challenges and opportunities affecting the global watch sector.
Asian Watch Conference to Explore Hong Kong’s Global Role
The Asian Watch Conference, taking place on September 2, will focus on Hong Kong’s role in international watch trade.
Representatives from organisations including Euromonitor International, Chrono24 and Lazada HK are expected to contribute to discussions at the conference. Topics will centre on market trends, consumer behaviour, digital commerce and the changing structure of the international watch business.
The conference is expected to offer valuable insights for brands and businesses seeking to understand the future direction of the Asian and global watch markets.
Time Tunnel Marks 45th Edition of the Fair
The 45th edition of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 will also feature a special “Time Tunnel” exhibition.
The presentation will trace the development of the Watch & Clock Fair from its first edition in 1982 to its current position as an international industry event. The retrospective will highlight the fair’s evolution alongside changes in the watch and clock industry.
The special exhibition will provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the history and development of one of Hong Kong’s longest-running trade events.
Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition Adds Creative Dimension
The fair will also showcase award-winning and shortlisted entries from the 43rd Hong Kong Watch & Clock Design Competition.
The competition brings together designers and industry professionals and highlights innovative approaches to watch and clock design. Displaying the selected designs during the fair will allow international buyers and visitors to discover emerging creative concepts and new approaches to timepiece design.
The competition adds a creative dimension to the business-focused exhibition and demonstrates the importance of design innovation within the watch industry.
CENTRESTAGE Adds Fashion to the Exhibition Programme
The watch events will take place alongside CENTRESTAGE, Hong Kong’s major fashion showcase, which will run from September 2 to 5, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
With the events taking place concurrently, organisers expect more than 400 watch and fashion brands to be represented under one roof.
The combination of watchmaking, fashion and lifestyle brands creates opportunities for retailers, buyers, designers and other industry professionals to discover complementary products and identify new business opportunities.
Salon de TIME Open to the Public
While the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 primarily serves trade visitors, Salon de TIME will remain open to the public throughout its five-day run.
Public visitors will have the opportunity to discover international watch brands, independent microbrands, innovative timepieces and new designs. The public-facing format also provides participating brands with an opportunity to engage directly with consumers and increase brand visibility.
Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 Strengthens Hong Kong’s Position as a Watch Hub
The strong international participation, rising export figures and expanding programme underline the significance of the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair 2026 for the global watch industry.
With more than 630 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions, new international pavilions, a rapidly expanding Microbrands zone and more than 40 supporting events, the fair is expected to facilitate business connections across multiple segments of the watch and clock market.
