The 3rd edition of IBET Expo 2026 – International Bioenergy & Technology Exhibition and Conference will be held from 11–13 August 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The premier bioenergy event will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, technology providers, researchers, investors, and innovators to accelerate the growth of India’s renewable energy and bioenergy sector.
Jointly organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications, the event is being hosted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, with the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) serving as the co-organiser.

With the theme “Advancing Bioenergy Solutions for a Low Carbon World,” IBET Expo 2026 aims to promote sustainable energy technologies and create new business opportunities across the global bioenergy value chain. Uttar Pradesh Emerges as India’s Bioenergy Powerhouse
The selection of Uttar Pradesh as the host state reflects its rapidly growing leadership in India’s bioenergy sector. Following the success of the previous two editions, the state government invited IFGE and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications to organise the third edition in Greater Noida.
Uttar Pradesh has become India’s largest ethanol-producing state, achieving approximately 180 crore litres of ethanol production during 2023–24. The state has also commissioned 38 Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants, while an additional 78 CBG projects are currently under construction.
The state’s abundant agricultural biomass, sugar industry residues, municipal solid waste, and other feedstock resources have created an ideal ecosystem for large-scale bioenergy development.
Progressive Bioenergy Policy Encourages Investment
To strengthen the sector further, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has introduced a dedicated Bioenergy Policy offering several investment-friendly incentives. These include production-linked financial assistance for CBG, bio-coal, and biodiesel projects, subsidies for biomass collection machinery, 100% exemptions on stamp duty and electricity duty, the One Tehsil–One Plant initiative, and a single-window clearance system for faster project approvals.
These initiatives are expected to attract greater domestic and international investment while encouraging technology adoption across the renewable energy sector.
