Messe Stuttgart Expands India Portfolio with Cable & Wire Fair Acquisition

Strengthening India’s Industrial Exhibition Landscape

Messe Stuttgart has announced the addition of Cable & Wire Fair, India’s leading exhibition for the wire and cable sector, along with Wire & Cable India Magazine to its expanding portfolio. The strategic move marks another milestone in Messe Stuttgart’s continued growth across India’s high-potential industrial sectors and reinforces its long-term commitment to building global industry platforms that foster innovation, collaboration, and business expansion.

The acquisition is expected to create stronger international connectivity for India’s wire and cable industry, enabling broader access to global buyers, technology providers, and cross-border business opportunities through Messe Stuttgart’s established international network.

India’s Wire and Cable Industry Poised for Rapid Growth

The timing of this development aligns with remarkable momentum in India’s wire and cable market. Industry projections indicate the sector will grow from USD 21.22 billion in 2025 to USD 23.13 billion in 2026, eventually reaching USD 35.58 billion by 2031, registering a CAGR of 9.01%.

This growth is being driven by rising residential construction demand, expanding renewable energy projects, and rapid upgrades in telecom infrastructure. As a result, the wire and cable industry has evolved beyond its traditional manufacturing role to become a critical enabler of modern engineering, digital transformation, and infrastructure development.

A Platform Driving “Made in India” Success

As global supply chains continue to shift and the China+1 manufacturing strategy gains momentum, India has steadily positioned itself as a dependable and competitive manufacturing destination.

Since its launch in 2011, Wire & Cable India Magazine, followed by the introduction of Cable & Wire Fair in 2015, has played a significant role in strengthening the domestic wire and cable ecosystem. Together, they have provided a dynamic platform for business networking, industry insights, technological advancement, and trade opportunities—helping transform the “Make in India” vision into a more practical “Made in India” manufacturing success story.

Cable & Wire Fair’s Rising Global Influence

Over six successful editions, Cable & Wire Fair has grown significantly in scale, influence, and international recognition. The 2025 edition attracted 424 exhibitors and more than 16,393 visitors, including 89 international exhibitors representing 24 countries.

This strong participation highlights the event’s growing global relevance and its ability to connect India’s manufacturing excellence with international engineering innovation and business opportunities.

The 7th edition of Cable & Wire Fair is scheduled to take place from 9–11 December 2027 at Yashobhoomi Convention and Exhibition Centre, one of India’s largest and most advanced exhibition venues.

Strategic Collaboration with Founder Priyank Jain

Through its Indian subsidiary, Messe Stuttgart India will work closely with Priyank Jain to further elevate the event’s positioning and industry reach.

Priyank Jain will continue to remain actively associated with both the exhibition and magazine as Founding Director, ensuring the platform retains its deep-rooted industry expertise while leveraging Messe Stuttgart’s global experience and network for accelerated international expansion.

Messe Stuttgart Sees Strong Potential in India

Speaking on the announcement, Roland Bleinroth said:

“India is one of the most dynamic and strategically important markets for us globally. The addition of Cable & Wire Fair and Wire & Cable India Magazine to our portfolio reflects our commitment to investing in sectors that are not only growing rapidly but are also critical to the future of global manufacturing and infrastructure. With our international expertise and network, we see strong potential to further strengthen this platform as a key meeting point for the global wire and cable industry.”

A New Era for India’s Wire and Cable Industry

The integration of Cable & Wire Fair into Messe Stuttgart’s international portfolio signals a new chapter for India’s wire and cable ecosystem. With stronger global exposure, enhanced industry collaboration, and access to international innovation, the platform is set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of India’s manufacturing and infrastructure ambitions while reinforcing its position on the global industrial map.
