Stuttgart, Germany: Messe Stuttgart has reported a resilient performance for the 2025 financial year, demonstrating stability despite ongoing global economic challenges and cautious market conditions. The exhibition organiser welcomed more than 1.06 million visitors and 16,030 exhibitors across 39 in-house trade fairs and 20 guest events, reaffirming its position as one of Europe’s leading exhibition and trade fair venues.
The company generated a turnover of €134.6 million, exceeding expectations for what is traditionally considered an off-cycle exhibition year. While Messe Stuttgart recorded an EBITDA of –€2.9 million, the financial results reflected the impact of broader economic uncertainty affecting investment decisions across several industries.
Commenting on the results, Messe Stuttgart President Roland Bleinroth said the organisation successfully navigated a challenging business environment through disciplined financial management and strategic planning. He noted that slower booking activity and cautious investment sentiment among domestic exhibitors did not prevent the company from delivering a solid overall performance.
Looking ahead, Messe Stuttgart is optimistic about a stronger 2026, supported by an extensive exhibition calendar featuring several flagship trade fairs. Major events such as AMB and VISION are expected to drive significant international participation, while established exhibitions including CMT and INTERGASTRA will continue to attract exhibitors and visitors from around the world.
As part of its growth strategy, the exhibition organiser is also introducing new event formats to address emerging industries and technologies. These include XR EXPO, which focuses on immersive and extended reality technologies, and MTO Days, a new platform dedicated to precision tooling and advanced manufacturing solutions.
International expansion continues to play a central role in Messe Stuttgart’s long-term strategy. The organiser reported strong participation from exhibitors and visitors representing Europe, China, India, and North America, highlighting the growing international appeal of its events.
In addition to strengthening its exhibitions in Germany, Messe Stuttgart continues to expand its global portfolio through successful overseas events. Established international trade fairs such as R+T Asia in Shanghai and LogiMAT India have reinforced the organiser’s presence in key global markets while creating new opportunities for international business collaboration.
With an expanding international footprint, new event launches, and a strong lineup of flagship exhibitions, Messe Stuttgart is well positioned for renewed growth in 2026 despite the continued uncertainty in the global economy.
