Olympia Events Announces Strategic Ticketmaster Partnership
Olympia Events has officially appointed Ticketmaster as its exclusive ticketing partner for all live events hosted at the iconic London venue. The collaboration is designed to strengthen Olympia’s technology infrastructure, marketing capabilities, and audience insights as it prepares for an exciting new era following its landmark £1.3 billion redevelopment.
The partnership will enable fans to enjoy a faster and more seamless ticket-buying experience while giving event organisers access to advanced data-driven tools for smarter planning, ticket sales strategies, and enhanced event delivery.
Enhanced Technology for Fans and Event Organisers
Through Ticketmaster’s industry-leading ticketing platform, Olympia will support a growing portfolio of live music concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, immersive experiences, and cultural programs. The technology is designed to handle everything from high-demand concert sales to timed-entry attractions and smaller general admission events.
With improved audience analytics and customer insights, organisers will be able to make informed decisions that enhance visitor experiences and maximise event performance.
Supporting Olympia’s Historic Transformation
The partnership arrives as Olympia nears completion of its ambitious £1.3 billion redevelopment project, transforming the historic venue into one of London’s premier destinations for entertainment, hospitality, and business events.
The redevelopment will introduce:
- New restaurants and bars
- A state-of-the-art live music venue
- A brand-new theatre
- Two onsite hotels
- Modern public spaces
- An International Convention Centre (ICC)
Once fully operational, the destination is expected to welcome approximately 10 million visitors annually.
Leadership Comments on the Partnership
Gareth Lloyd, Business Development Director at Olympia Events, highlighted the strategic importance of the collaboration, stating that the partnership focuses on long-term growth while making the customer journey as seamless as possible across both the heritage halls and the new International Convention Centre.
He also emphasized that Ticketmaster’s technology and global audience reach will help attract major UK and international events while supporting innovative planning and event delivery.
Sarah Slater, Managing Director of Ticketmaster UK, described Olympia as one of the few venues capable of hosting such a diverse range of live experiences, including music, sports, exhibitions, and immersive events. She noted that Ticketmaster’s technology is specifically designed to support this scale and diversity while helping Olympia connect with millions of fans worldwide.

Looking ahead, London’s largest permanent new theatre in over 50 years is scheduled to open in 2027. The 1,575-seat British Airways Theatre, operated by Trafalgar Entertainment and The Shubert Organization, will continue Olympia’s long-standing tradition of hosting world-class performances and cultural productions.
A Rich Legacy of Iconic Events
For more than 140 years, Olympia has been recognised globally for hosting some of the world’s most memorable live events. Historic highlights include the legendary 1967 “Christmas on Earth” concert featuring Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and The Who, the 1991 WBO middleweight championship bout between Chris Eubank and Gary Stretch, the renowned International Horse Show, and the famous Bertram Mills Circus, which entertained generations of visitors from 1920 to 1967.
