On June 20, Dubai Media Council announced the launch of ‘One Media Dubai’ which is a one-stop shop that will provide exclusive services in Dubai to Emirati, Arab, and foreign media professionals and organizations. The initiative is launched in partnership with various government and semi-government organizations in Dubai.
Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum instructed Dubai Press Club to assist in the implementation of the initiative by providing access to services offered by the initiative’s partners.
He said that the launch of the One Media Dubai will add remarkable value to the media community and services in Dubai and will support the vision of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai which is to strengthen the UAE’s status as a world-leading media hub.
He further appreciated the initiative as it will intensify the supportive, rich, and growth-friendly environment that Dubai offers to creatives, innovators, and other professionals in the media industry. The initiative is also going to contribute to Dubai’s aim to transform itself into the world’s best city to live and work by providing a range of exclusive services to media professionals.
He also praised the important role of the Dubai Press Club which helped in improving the growth of UAE media in the last 20 years. Through its initiatives, it recognized the Dubai media by the Arab Media Forum and the Arab Journalism Award, which was renamed as Arab Media Award. DPC also played an important role in recognizing the City as the Capital of Arab Media for 2020 and 2021 by the Arab Information Ministers Council.
The Chairman of Dubai Media Council instructed the concerned officials to support the local, regional and international media institutions. This initiative also complements the DPC’s aim which is to strengthen the development of the media community in Dubai.
The Media Regulatory Office, Dubai Media City, Federal Authority of Identity and Citizenship, General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (Khda), Emirates NBD, Dubai Design District, and Etisalat are the main partners of One Media Dubai.
Vice-Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, Mona Al Marri said that One Media Dubai is for media professionals and companies who aim to expand the media industry further and encourage an environment where professionals can outstand. The initiative is also a part of strategic projects and programs launched by the Club which aims to support the local, regional and international media industry.
Dr. Maitha Buhumaid, Director of the Dubai Press Club said that the officials are delighted to implement the ‘One Media Dubai’ initiative in collaboration with the initiative’s partners to provide smooth access to a range of exclusive services to Emirati, Arab, and foreign media professionals and organizations. The initiative’s main goal is to encourage the smoothness of doing business for local regional and international media institutions and to create a consolidated window for media persons to obtain essential services which support their professional development.
