Pink Bows Foundation Showcases Showstop Procedure at NCS⁴ Sports Safety and Security Conference 2026

Palm Springs, California: The Pink Bows Foundation played a key role at the 17th Annual NCS⁴ Sports Safety and Security Conference, held from June 23 to 25, 2026, in Palm Springs, California. Invited by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS⁴), the foundation presented its internationally accredited Showstop® Procedure, a training program designed to help event professionals make critical decisions during emergencies and improve crowd safety at large-scale sports and entertainment events.

The annual conference brought together more than 600 venue operators, safety professionals, emergency planners, law enforcement officials, event organizers, and security experts from across the United States and around the world. The event focused on advancing safety standards for stadiums, arenas, festivals, concerts and major sporting events through collaboration, education and innovation.

Showstop® Procedure Promotes International Event Safety Standards

The Showstop® Procedure has become the only internationally accredited training and qualification specifically focused on helping event professionals understand when and how to pause or stop an event if public safety is at risk.

Developed to establish consistent decision-making processes during emergencies, the training equips organizers, venue managers and safety teams with practical guidance on responding to crowd-related incidents, severe weather, infrastructure failures and other unexpected situations. By promoting standardized procedures, the program aims to reduce confusion during high-pressure situations and improve communication between event stakeholders.

The Pink Bows Foundation used the conference platform to highlight how internationally recognized safety protocols can help protect millions of spectators attending sports, music and entertainment events every year.

Brian Dubiski Shares Personal Journey Behind the Foundation

One of the most memorable moments of the conference came during the opening keynote delivered by Brian Dubiski, Co-Founder of the Pink Bows Foundation.

Dubiski dedicated his presentation to his daughter, Madison Dubiski, who tragically lost her life during the Astroworld Festival crowd crush on November 5, 2021. Speaking publicly about the tragedy in detail for the first time, he shared the emotional impact the incident had on his family and described the difficult journey they have experienced in the years since.

Rather than allowing tragedy to define their future, Dubiski explained how his family chose to establish the Pink Bows Foundation with the mission of preventing similar incidents from occurring at future live events.

His keynote emphasized that every safety improvement implemented by event organizers has the potential to save lives and spare families from experiencing similar heartbreak.

NCS⁴ Recognizes the Foundation’s Contribution

The Pink Bows Foundation received strong recognition from conference organizers for its contribution to the event.

Dr. Stacey Hall, Executive Director of NCS⁴, thanked the foundation for partnering with the conference and praised Brian Dubiski’s keynote address for reminding attendees why event safety remains a top priority across the sports and entertainment industry.

According to Hall, the foundation’s message reinforced the responsibility shared by everyone involved in organizing public events to ensure spectators, participants, performers and staff return home safely after every event.

She also highlighted that NCS⁴ stakeholders continue to benefit from the Pink Bows Foundation’s resources, research initiatives and internationally recognized training programs that support continuous improvement in safety and security standards.

More Than 850 Professionals Trained Worldwide

Since its launch in March 2025, the Showstop® Procedure has continued to gain international recognition within the events industry.

Developed in collaboration with Steve Allen and Dr. Mark Hamilton, the program has already trained more than 850 event professionals from a wide range of organizations involved in live events.

According to the foundation, those trained professionals now contribute to the safer management of events attended by more than 50 million people worldwide. The growing adoption of the program reflects increasing awareness of the importance of structured emergency planning and effective crowd management.

As major sporting competitions, concerts, festivals and cultural events continue to attract larger audiences, organizers are placing greater emphasis on standardized safety procedures that enable quick and coordinated responses during emergencies.

Safe Spaces Initiative Continues to Expand

Alongside the Showstop® Procedure, the Pink Bows Foundation also highlighted the progress of its Safe Spaces initiative during the conference.

The initiative provides relocatable welfare facilities where visitors attending large events can receive assistance, access support services or take refuge if they feel overwhelmed or require help during an event.

Since its introduction, the Safe Spaces program has welcomed more than 400,000 fans across numerous events in the United States, demonstrating growing demand for enhanced welfare and support services at crowded venues.

The initiative complements traditional security measures by focusing not only on emergency response but also on improving the overall well-being and comfort of event attendees.

Advisory Board to Strengthen Global Collaboration

During his keynote presentation, Brian Dubiski also announced the formation of the Pink Bows Advisory Board, an important milestone in the foundation’s continued growth.

The newly established advisory board includes 16 internationally respected event safety professionals, including eight expert witnesses with extensive experience in crowd safety, risk management, venue operations and emergency planning.

The advisory board will help guide the foundation’s future initiatives while strengthening collaboration with governments, event organizers, venue operators, security professionals and international industry organizations.

Its members are expected to provide strategic advice, contribute technical expertise and support the development of new safety standards that can be adopted across the global events industry.

International Collaboration Remains Essential

The conference highlighted the growing importance of collaboration between public agencies, private organizations, venue operators and safety experts as live events continue to increase in size and complexity.

From international sporting championships and music festivals to community celebrations and cultural events, organizers are facing new challenges related to crowd management, emergency preparedness, cybersecurity, public health and operational resilience.

Programs such as the Showstop® Procedure demonstrate how standardized training and knowledge-sharing can help create safer environments for both event professionals and attendees.

Building a Safer Future for Live Events

The Pink Bows Foundation’s participation in the 17th Annual NCS⁴ Sports Safety and Security Conference reinforced its commitment to improving safety standards throughout the global live events industry.

By combining internationally accredited training, practical safety initiatives like Safe Spaces, and collaboration with experienced industry professionals, the foundation continues to transform personal tragedy into meaningful action aimed at protecting future generations of event attendees.

As the events industry continues to evolve, initiatives such as the Showstop® Procedure and the newly established Advisory Board are expected to play an increasingly important role in promoting best practices, improving emergency preparedness and ensuring that millions of fans can enjoy sports, concerts and public gatherings in a safer environment.
