World Healthcare Week 2027 to Unite Global Healthcare Leaders and Innovators in Dubai

Dubai is preparing to host one of the world’s most significant healthcare gatherings with the launch of World Healthcare Week 2027, scheduled from 25–29 January 2027. The landmark event will take place across the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC), Expo City Dubai, and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), bringing together healthcare professionals, policymakers, investors, and technology innovators from around the globe.

A Global Platform for Healthcare Collaboration

Organizers expect the event to attract more than 95,000 attendees, 4,500 exhibitors, and delegates from over 195 countries, positioning World Healthcare Week among the largest international healthcare events ever organized. The initiative aims to strengthen global healthcare collaboration, encourage innovation, and create opportunities for strategic partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.

Three Major Events Under One Umbrella

World Healthcare Week will combine three flagship healthcare events into a single integrated platform:

  • World Health Expo (WHX) – the world’s largest international healthcare trade exhibition and conference.
  • WHX Tech – focused on healthcare technology, digital transformation, and innovation.
  • WHX Leaders – a high-level leadership forum dedicated to healthcare policy, investment, and future healthcare systems.

All three events will be held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), highlighting the UAE’s commitment to advancing global healthcare development.

Addressing Critical Healthcare Challenges

The launch comes at a crucial time for the global healthcare industry. Chronic diseases currently account for nearly 80% of worldwide healthcare spending, while the World Health Organization (WHO) projects a shortage of approximately 10 million healthcare workers by 2030. Simultaneously, countries across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are significantly increasing investments in digital health technologies, artificial intelligence, and healthcare modernization programs.

Industry Leaders Emphasize Cross-Sector Collaboration

Speaking on the launch, Solenne Singer, Senior Vice President of Informa Markets, emphasized the growing need for collaboration across healthcare sectors.

“Healthcare innovation no longer occurs in isolation. The decisions that shape the future of healthcare are increasingly being made at the intersection of technology, policy, investment and clinical practice,” Singer said.

Her remarks reflect the event’s mission to bring together diverse stakeholders to address healthcare challenges and accelerate innovation.

WHX Leaders to Convene Global Decision-Makers

One of the most anticipated highlights of the week will be WHX Leaders, taking place on 28 January 2027 at DWTC. The invitation-only forum is expected to host more than 15 Ministers of Health and over 300 global healthcare leaders, providing a platform for discussions on healthcare policy, investment strategies, workforce development, and the future design of healthcare systems.

Driving the Future of Global Healthcare

Building on the momentum of its successful 2026 editions, World Healthcare Week 2027 aims to create a comprehensive environment where trade, technology, leadership, and innovation converge. By connecting healthcare stakeholders from around the world, the event is expected to play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare delivery, policy, and investment while fostering meaningful global collaboration.
