WorldBuilder Summit, a new conference focused on user-generated content (UGC) gaming, is set to make its London debut on 11 November 2026 at the new International Convention Centre (ICC) at Olympia. The event marks the summit’s first international edition and represents its expansion into the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market.
Following the launch of its inaugural conference in Los Angeles earlier this year, WorldBuilder Summit is preparing to bring together creators, brands, intellectual property owners, studios, platforms and ecosystem partners from across the UK and wider European market.
The London edition is expected to attract around 300 creators and industry leaders, creating a dedicated meeting point for professionals working across the rapidly expanding UGC gaming economy.
WorldBuilder Summit Expands from Los Angeles to London
The first WorldBuilder Summit took place in Los Angeles and attracted approximately 260 creators, brands, IP owners and ecosystem partners. Building on that initial success, organisers have chosen London as the location for the summit’s first international edition.
London’s strong international connectivity and established position within the creative industries were important factors behind the decision. The city also provides access to a growing community of game developers, digital creators, technology companies, entertainment businesses and brands.
For WorldBuilder Summit, the move to London is intended to create stronger connections across the European UGC gaming ecosystem while opening the door to participants from the wider EMEA region.
Olympia Selected for First EMEA Edition
The choice of venue has also played a significant role in the expansion of WorldBuilder Summit. Olympia’s new International Convention Centre provides flexible conference facilities alongside hospitality, accommodation, restaurants and bars within the wider transformed Olympia destination.
The integrated nature of the venue is designed to allow delegates to continue networking outside the formal conference sessions.
Scott Benzie, Founder of WorldBuilder Summit, said the organisers wanted the European edition to become a genuine meeting point for creators, platforms and partners, rather than simply a conventional conference.
According to Benzie, Olympia provides the infrastructure and connectivity between different spaces needed to encourage delegates to spend more time together throughout the event.
New ICC Supports Flexible Event Experiences
Operated by Olympia Events, the new ICC is designed to combine purpose-built conference facilities with entertainment, hospitality and business spaces. The wider Olympia development offers organisers opportunities to create experiences that extend from daytime conference sessions into evening networking and social activities.
For an event such as WorldBuilder Summit, this integrated environment can support different parts of the programme while providing delegates with multiple opportunities to connect.
The combination of conference facilities, hotels, restaurants and bars within one destination was an important consideration for the organisers as they evaluated venues for the London edition.
Olympia Events Welcomes WorldBuilder Summit
Adam Pollington, Sales Director at Olympia Events, said WorldBuilder Summit represents the type of next-generation event that Olympia wants to support.
The summit is entering a new market while developing an international community around an emerging area of the creative economy. Its format also extends beyond the traditional conference model by placing creators, platforms, brands and partners at the centre of the experience.
Pollington said Olympia Events was pleased that WorldBuilder Summit had selected the venue for its first EMEA edition and looked forward to supporting the event’s development in London.
Focus on UGC Gaming and Digital Worlds
WorldBuilder Summit is focused on the rapidly developing world of user-generated content gaming. The event is designed for creators who develop immersive worlds, games and experiences across major digital platforms.
Platforms including Roblox, Fortnite and Minecraft have helped create new opportunities for individuals and creative teams to build communities, experiences and businesses within digital environments.
The summit aims to bring together the people shaping this emerging economy, including independent creators, studios, brands, platforms and intellectual property owners.
As UGC continues to influence gaming, entertainment and digital culture, the organisers believe there is a growing need for a dedicated industry event where participants can exchange ideas, develop partnerships and build relationships.
Creators Becoming Builders and Entrepreneurs
The changing role of creators is central to the WorldBuilder Summit concept.
Creators are increasingly moving beyond traditional content production to develop complete digital experiences, characters, communities and commercial ventures. Rather than simply publishing individual pieces of content, many are building persistent worlds and businesses around their creative ideas.
Scott Benzie highlighted this shift when describing the changing role of creators in the digital economy. He suggested that today’s creators are becoming world builders who combine storytelling, technology, gaming and entrepreneurship.
This transformation is creating a new category of creative professionals who operate across gaming, entertainment, technology and digital communities.
London Event to Connect the European Creator Economy
The London edition of WorldBuilder Summit is expected to provide a platform for creators and industry leaders from the UK and Europe to connect with international brands and technology companies.
The event’s expansion into EMEA also reflects the increasingly international nature of the UGC gaming industry. Digital platforms allow creators to reach audiences across borders, while brands and IP owners are increasingly looking at creator-led communities as opportunities for engagement and commercial growth.
By bringing these groups together in London, WorldBuilder Summit aims to strengthen relationships between creators, platforms and business partners across the region.
A New Meeting Point for UGC Industry Leaders
Unlike broader gaming conferences, WorldBuilder Summit is specifically focused on the people creating content, experiences and businesses within user-generated digital environments.
The event provides an opportunity for participants to explore trends affecting the UGC economy while meeting potential partners, investors, brands and fellow creators.
Its focus on networking is particularly important as the boundaries between gaming, social media, entertainment and digital commerce continue to become less defined.
The London conference is therefore expected to attract not only game creators but also professionals involved in brands, technology, entertainment, intellectual property and digital communities.
WorldBuilder Summit London 2026
The first London edition of WorldBuilder Summit will take place on 11 November 2026 at Olympia’s International Convention Centre in London.
With around 300 creators and industry professionals expected to attend, the event will represent an important milestone for the summit as it expands beyond its US origins.
The London launch will also provide an opportunity to test the event’s international format and establish stronger connections between the UGC gaming communities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As user-generated content continues to influence the future of gaming and digital entertainment, WorldBuilder Summit is positioning itself as a dedicated global meeting place for the creators and businesses building the next generation of digital worlds.
