Automechanika Riyadh 2026 Postponed to 2027: Messe Frankfurt Confirms Strategic Delay

Automechanika Riyadh 2026 Postponed to 2027: Messe Frankfurt Confirms Strategic Delay

Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia has officially announced the postponement of Automechanika Riyadh, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading automotive aftermarket trade shows. Originally scheduled for 4–6 May 2026 in Riyadh, the event will now take place in 2027, with new dates to be revealed soon.

Strategic Decision to Ensure Safety and Quality

The postponement comes after a comprehensive evaluation of the current regional environment. Organisers emphasized that the decision prioritises the safety, wellbeing, and confidence of exhibitors, partners, and visitors. It also ensures that the event continues to meet the high international standards associated with the globally recognised Automechanika brand.

Organisers Highlight Long-Term Vision

According to Martyn Cox, Show Director at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the decision was made with careful consideration. He noted that while Automechanika Riyadh has rapidly become a key platform for the automotive aftermarket sector, the current timing would not allow the event to deliver its full business potential.

Adding to this, Chris Lee, Portfolio Director – Mobility & Logistics, stated that the focus is now on delivering a larger, stronger, and more impactful edition in 2027 that aligns with market expectations and global standards.

Key Role in Saudi Arabia’s Automotive Sector

As part of the international Automechanika network, the event plays a vital role in connecting manufacturers, distributors, service providers, and buyers across the Kingdom’s fast-growing automotive aftermarket industry. It serves as a major business platform supporting industry collaboration and innovation.

Continued Commitment to Vision 2030

Despite the postponement, Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its long-term commitment to the development of Automechanika Riyadh. The organisers remain dedicated to supporting the growth of Saudi Arabia’s automotive sector in line with the country’s ambitious Vision 2030.

Further updates, including the revised schedule for the 2027 edition, are expected to be announced in the coming months.
